Fencing Fencing: A Fitness Program You Can Stick With! Not many sports are just flat-out fun, but no matter how good you are at it and how cool you look doing it, at its heart fencing is still just two kids out in the backyard sword fighting with sticks. No matter whether you are young or old, large or small, male or female, you can fence—and fence well. Fencing offers an exceptionally level playing field to everyone. Smaller people are hard to hit. Bigger people have the reach. Younger people are athletic, older people are crafty. No matter who you are, fencing is for you. We offer lessons on an on-going basis, year round. Our programs are based on a combination of private lessons and group classes. In the private lessons students learn new moves, have their errors corrected, and are taught the essentials of strategy. The group classes give them the repetition needed to make the moves more automatic, as well as the chance to fence others at their own level. Group classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Private lessons are by appointment. |
